Waiting out the storm paid off. Thanks to clear skies, tail winds, and a smooth road our 74 mile flight to Winnemucca was successful in record time, 6.5 hours with stops. Traffic was relatively low, consisting of the usual alfalfa, cattle, and oil trucks.
We reveled in the glory of nachos in preparation for tomorrow, another ~70 mile day to Lovelock, NV weather permitting.
We remember seeing that giant driftwood log while going through Winnemucca. And how the wind does blow! Glad it was at your back this time...
ReplyDeleteYou two did make great time! And clear weather was quite welcoming, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying the pictures (you're getting really great shots!)... I especially like the trailer park next to the bar! LOL! The big log is fun too. I remember passing through there on the motorcycle... Small towns certainly have character, don't they ;) I always enjoy traveling through them and chatting with the locals.
Hope you have more tail winds today!
Be safe & have fun! :)
